La Nebbia is a boutique winery located in the coastal town of Half Moon Bay, less than 3 miles from the sandy beaches of the Pacific Ocean. With our mild and temperate climate, La Nebbia hosts a variety of indoor and outdoor activities at the winery throughout the year.
Daily you can join us for tastings of our handcrafted wines from 10am to 5pm or unwind in the gardens picnicking with your friends and family. For those a bit more competitive, the afternoon can be spent with your buddies or colleagues playing bocce ball, sipping wine, and taking in the friendships. And if you want something a bit more personalized, we can always help you plan that next event.
BARREL TO BOTTLE
Another big draw at the winery is our long-standing tradition of bottling events. These events evolved out of a common practice started nearly 40 years ago. Back in the 70's many of our local customers would make a run to the winery and instead of buying a bottle or two off the shelf, they would bring their empty bottles or jugs to fill from our barrels. Save the bottle, but enjoy the wine was the motto of these early recyclers!
Over time, this local custom has evolved into our now regionally famous Barrel to Bottle events. Today you bring your clean and empty bottles, along with your friends, family, and co-workers and spend the day with us bottling, corking, and labeling your wine. Then when you're done, you can stop by the tasting room, picnic in the gardens, or if you still have some energy, play a little bocce ball.
These events are always popular and while we plan to have enough wine, you just never know. So come early for our first come, first served Barrel to Bottle events. If you can’t make it, you can always schedule a drop off of your bottles with us before the event. We’ll fill them and have them ready for pick up the next day.
April 28th, Moonraker Food Truck, from 11am-2pm
The wine varietal will be announced and posted 2-3 weeks before the event. Sign up below to receive our Barrel to Bottle reminder and other La Nebbia news.
